Reflection I

Today I practically met all of Mister Wards' patients in his clinic. It felt good when he actually trusted all of my reports and went on to proceed with the next step: surgery.Meeting patients personally in the consultation rooms is not so bad after all.I mean, you've got a huge stack of patient's medical records in hand to back you up in case you're missing anything.

for example: patient denies to be an alcoholic;when the referral letter from the GP on the front page of the patient's file says that he/she is a chronic alcoholic.

From there, its all about getting the flow how the patient wants it to be...

Random things I'm reflecting today:

1) Professionalism includes NOT to look into the wife's crying eyes when breaking bad news to the husband;when you could pass her a box of Kleenax.

2) Never use the word kill in any situation (this is too obvious, but surgeons do it too)

"We're going to put a filter in your inferior vena cava so that the blood clot won't KILL you"
-Mister X-

3) Always wear a vest;because they keep complementing you on it-NO!
Always observe what patients wear;as they sometimes have got obvious clues on it.

eg: A depressed patient whos had a history of suicide wearing a shirt that says "Happy!"

4) Never put on sexy jazz music in the background during breast surgery when patient is not on general anesthesia.

5) Know your football;especially when they're wearing one-it doesn't hurt to ''boo'' their favourite club.
So yeah,I'm with MU!

Something outside medicine...

1) I've been wearing too much black and white.Colours massy!Colours!!!

2) I think I'm being too ambitious right now.Need to chillax a bit-w00t w00t-Saturday here i come!

3) For Hajar : "Act like a lady,Think like a WOMAN."

4) Motto: Ignorance is bliss.

5) Katok meat does not make me full.psychological?

Dream.

Things I want to dream of tonight:

Giving lectures on Diabetes and its complications to my Papa.
Celebrating Mama's birthday.
Talking and crying with my big sis Fudge.
Watching anime with Zaid whilst I worry on his sleep apnea.
Being Tariq's wedding planner.
Helping out for Ibbie's PMR.
Annoying Aboo as he gives me a 'muka sepuluh sen' just to get his daily pamper brush.

Let me wake up during REM so I'll remember them vividly...

My Libra Partner: Mama.

Its my mom's birthday today;and I'm not there to celebrate it with her.
;.(

Since I was 13 I would always get her something
-if not anything from Body Shop.
And it continued right until last year.
Obviously Body Shop isn't Loccitane.
Its the habit that has brought me into 'Body shop'-ing my mom.
Its always nice to get positive feedbacks all the time
after opening her presents.
A simple classical conditioning: mother likes the present
-daughter gets more of it!
*smiles*
Come on-It was the only thing i could afford as a teenager!

Have you realized that anything that we would get for our mothers almost all of the time
are mostly 'relaxants/therapeutic' presents?

You see, mothers don't actually get what they WANT
but they get what they NEED.

I know what my mama wants.

A cute European car

Happy Birthday Mama!
Here's to a good long and happy life...

♥ you always;
your daughter,
